COMMON QUERIES

You Asked, We Answered

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO CHARGE?
HOW LONG WILL IT LAST AFTER IT'S DONE CHARGING?

The batteries need to be charged for two hours in-between uses. The battery life is roughly one and a half hours.

Warning: Do NOT use a power source that is over 5V and 1 Amp to charge your saber, doing so will fry the board. Check the specs of your charger and it is always recommended that you use a computers USB port to charge your saber (5V and 0.5 Amp).

WHAT IS A "HILT"

DOES A HILT COME WITH A BLADE?

The “Hilt” is what's referred to as the sabers handle. Every hilt comes with a blade. Which design(s) calls to you?

ARE THE BLADES REMOVABLE FROM THE HILTS?
CAN THEY BE REPLACED?

All of our sabers whether Base-Lit or Neopixel comes equipped with a removable and replaceable blade.

CAN TWO HILTS BE CONNECTED TO MAKE A STAFF SABER?

Yes, MOST of our sabers are compatible with each other to be able to make a staff saber. An accessories can be bought to enable this feature for the ones that cannot do it out of the box.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A BASE-LIT AND A NEOPIXEL?

A Neopixel saber uses a higher quality system allowing for more detailed features in the blade due to the fact that the LEDs are located within the blade itself while a Base-Lit uses a LED located in the handle to illuminate up through the blade. Please keep in mind that NeoPixel blades are not compatible with base lit hilts and vice versa.

ARE THESE SABERS DUEL WORTHY?

The short answer is yes, we recommend using Base-Lit sabers for a more cost effective dueling option. Although, our Neopixel blades are suitable for dueling as well. Keep in mind dueling can lead to expected increased wear and tear. Imperial Workshop’s Base-Lit and Neopixel sabers, especially their blades, are extremely durable. If your blade's condition becomes unsatisfactory we offer affordable replacements. Furthermore, we can't stress enough how strongly we advise proper safety equipment such as head, hand, chest, arm and leg pads in a dueling scenario as they have the ability to cause serious bodily harm if not handled properly.

ISSUES DUE TO A LACK OF CHARGE:

You can check your sabers battery level by pressing the button 3 times when the blade is off. Not having a charged battery can result to a number of functions not working properly so we encourage you to charge your saber right out of the box.

Warning: Do NOT use a power source that is over 5V and 1 Amp to charge your saber, doing so will fry the board. Check the specs of your charger and it is always recommended that you use a computers USB port to charge your saber (5V and 0.5 Amp).
